Thursday, 6 February 2014 by Unknown
Mahindra has unveiled a production version of its 300cc Mojo motorcycle at
the 2014 Auto Expo. This bike is significantly different from the one that was
on display at the previous Auto Expo and has got changes in the form of a
new front cowl and fuel tank but remains the same mechanically.
The previous version of the bike had a different cowl that extended only over
the top of the double barrel head lamps, however, on this bike it's a complete
design encompassing the headlights but still revealing enough to show the
evolution of the Mojo 300. The other major change is the fuel tank which gets
a revised and sportier design as compared to the older model that was shown
previously.
The Mojo feature a 300cc DOHC four valve engine that is expected to produce
around 26bhp of power at 8500rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7,000rpm.The
machine will sport the Ducati electronic fuel injection system that will
enhance the performance and at the same time reduce the emissions. The
power is transmitted to the rear wheel thorough a six-speed gearbox. The
Mojo 300 will also feature a gas charged mono shock, dual exhaust and mirror
mounted mirrors.
The Mojo 300 when launched is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 1.5
lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh and will compete with the KTM Duke 390, Ninja 300 as
well as the Honda CBR300R.
