Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda (Thummeda) - Movie Review
Monday, 3 February 2014 by Unknown
Manchu family starrer Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda, which has
garnered a lot of positive buzz due to its ensemble cast, has
released in theatres today (January 31). The movie, which seems
to have been inspired from hit Bollywood movie Golmaal 3, is good
commercial movie, which is high on entertainment quotient.
Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda is decent family entertainer with
all masala elements. Lead actors' performances are the main
highlight in the film. Srivas' engaging narration, Baba Sehgal, Achu
and Bappi Lahari's music and background score, Palani Kumar's
beautiful picturisation, comedy scenes and witty dialogues are
other attractions of the movie. The predictable story is one big
drawback of the film. Director Srivas, who has penned story of
Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda, seems to have taken inspiration
from the movie Golmaal 3. Kona Venkat, Gopi Mohan and BVS
Ravi, who have penned the screenplay have done a commendable
job. It has all commercial elements as well as a few interesting
twists and turns. The narration of the movie is crispy and it
engages the audience right from the beginning to end. Naidu
(Mohan Babu) is staying with his family comprising three orphan
sons (Manoj, Varun Sandesh and Tanish) in Bangkok. His love
Raveena is a foster mother to two sons (Vishnu and Vennela
Kishore). When Mohan Babu and Raveena decide to get married,
but the feud between their children creates tension in their
marriage. What are the hurdles they face to get united will form
the crux of the story. All the lead actors like Mohan Babu, Vishnu,
Manoj, Raveena Tandon, Hansika, Pranitha, Tanish and Varun
Sandesh have delivered their brilliant performances, which are the
big assets of Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda. Comedians like
Brahmanandam, Ali, Raghu Babu, Vennela Kishore, MS Narayana,
Thagubothu Ramesh and Krishna Bhagavan have also tried their
best to tickle the funny bones of the viewers. Pandavulu Pandavulu
Tummeda has wonderful production elements and Achu and Baba
Sehgal's soundtracks and background score are main attractions in
the technical front. The lyrics are equally good. Palani Kumar has
done brilliant cinematography in the exotic locales in Bangkok. MR
Varma's editing is also good, but he should have trimmed dragging
scenes in the second half. Other technical departments have also
delivered commendable works.
