Indian rapper and musician Yo Yo Honey Singh, has also created a mark in
Bollywood. His compositions for the Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone -
starrer Cocktail and Akshay Kumar’s Khiladi 786 became huge hits. He had
even collaborated with Shahrukh Khan for Lungi Dance song in his hit film
Chennai Express.
As per sources , Now the rapper seems to be in talks with Salman Khan to
work with him ”Honey and Salman recently met at a celebrity cricket
tournament. But it was not just a meet-and-greet session for the duo. They
kept chatting for nearly half-an-hour and were discussing work. Honey is
most probably going to collaborate with Salman to compose a song for one of
his upcoming films. While many people were approaching Salman for a quick
chat, he was busy discussing Honey’s work.”
This news was confirmed by Honeys manager. Well was this the reason that
Honey is missing from the poster of Shahrukh Khan’s Temptation Reloaded
concert.

The next couple of years are full of mega releases for Bollywood
buffs, with the biggest male stars going all out to line-up
prospective record busters. Going by the chock-a-block date diaries
of the big boys of Bollywood, a series of big films will continue to
hit the screens. All the big heroes are booked till 2016 with two to
three projects lined up.
With the growing competition between big International studios
and prominent Indian production houses, Bollywood is witnessing
a strategic increase in forward planning like never before. Most
studios and production houses are planning their projects well in
advance and have booked most big heroes for future ventures.
The trend has also confirmed the most prominent Bollywood
theory that the market is driven only by the male stars. Financers,
investors and co-producers instantly agree to invest money as soon
as a production house announces a film starring a big hero in the
lead owing to their market credibility. Heroines are decided later.

next
"Bollywood has definitely become more systematic in planning
future projects. This is because the investment pattern has
changed. The total cost involved with a film is divided into various
departments as besides the production cost, a large sum is
invested in promotion, marketing, screening, advertising, and
music and satellite rights," says trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
"The actors these days prefer working in one film at a time. After
its completion, they have to invest a month or two to promote the
film. The producers need to give the actors sufficient time to start
their next project as they demand bulk dates, thus planning it well
in advance is the most suitable option," adds Adarsh.
The blocked dates of the big stars are also an indication that they
are not likely to fade out anytime soon. "Since superstars are
driving the market and churning out hits that generate big money,
the market is still driven by them. That the producers are queuing
up to sign them shows that how relevant their presence is in the
growing business of cinema," says Adarsh.
In the seventies, big stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra
and Jeetendra were known for their saturated date diaries. Known
to be often working in three shifts per day, these stars would even
cancel shoots public events owing to hectic outdoors and elaborate
schedules. In the eighties, Mithun Chakraborty and Govinda
famously worked three shifts on almost all days in a week, which
often resulted in five to six releases in a year.

between two to three projects at a time. He is the only actor who

TV actor Kushal Tandon, who declared his love for model-turned-
actress Gauahar Khan on the reality show 'Bigg Boss - Saath 7',
says he doesn't want to keep his relationship under the wraps.
"No, why should I hide about my relationship with anyone? I
proposed to Gauahar on national television and I love her, so there
is nothing to hide. Pyaar kiya toh darna kya!(If you love someone,
why to be afraid)," Kushal told IANS in a telephonic interview from
Mumbai.
"I met a girl on a reality show and fell in love with her. Everyone
saw it, so why should I lie about it or hide it," he added.
The 28-year-old is participating with his girlfriend Gauahar in
action-adventure show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' and 10 other
celebrities. He says it will be 'fun' to do the show, which will air on
Colors.

"I accepted the show because it will be fun. I will get to do so many
adventurous things and I will get to spend time with Gauahar too. I
am really looking forward to it," he said.
When asked about his fear, he said: "I am scared of reptiles. I don't
like lizards and snakes. If I get something to do with these I will
just pass it."
"I will not pass it, but I can't say now how I am going to react to it.
I can do things related to water and heights, but I really have this
fear of reptiles," he added.
Apart from 'Bigg Boss - Saath 7', Kushal has been part of TV show
'Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai' and celebrity dance reality
show 'Nach Baliye 5'.
When asked if he would concentrate on fiction shows in future, he
said: "Right now, I am focusing on my Bollywood debut. I can't say

Shekhar Suman, the man for all mediums, goes behind the camera
for Heartless
Versatility has always been his defining trait and next week
Shekhar Suman will add one more feather to his cap as his first
directorial venture Heartless is all set to be released. Once
shunned by the film industry as a wannabe Amitabh Bachchan,
Suman made television his home and ruled it for almost two
decades in different avatars. Call him a comeback man and he
disagrees, “I have always come out of the comfort zone to do
something new. From films to television serials, from anchoring to
politics, from body building to singing, I have tried it all. Every
time anybody asked can you do it, I have said let me try and now I
am looking for a fresh start as a filmmaker.” Suman says his solid
training in theatre at the start of his career ensured that he
straddled different media with ease. “I have always been a natural
even if it meant doing cricket commentary with the stalwarts of
the game.”
His image of a non-stop purveyor of puns doesn’t fit into the cast
of a helmsman of an emotional thriller against the backdrop of
medical profession but Suman insists that the real Shekhar Suman
is different from what we see on screen. “I am not a comedy loving
person. What you see is a well-carved out image. Even when I
anchor the show I tell myself that I am playing the role of an
anchor. I like to watch dark thrillers and multi-layered narratives
and it reflects in the story I have chosen for my first film as a
director. The only thing that I have learnt during the process is
patience. That everybody can’t work at your pace and it takes
people time to understand your vision.”
Talking about life on the other side of the camera, Suman says he
has always believed that cinema is more about storytelling than
technique. “Take the films of Hrishikesh Mukherjee. He told some
of the most arousing stories with basic techniques. Of course, one
has to be careful about axis and composition otherwise there is no
one right way to shoot a scene.”
The promos suggest a strong similarity between Heartless and Joby
Harold’s Awake and Suman agrees the inspiration has come from
the film. “The anaesthesia awareness bit and the hospital sequence
are similar but the first hour is completely different. Still we have
signed a contract with the makers of Awake and we have got the
permission to adapt the film without mentioning the source in the
credits. However, I feel in these times one cannot be brazen about
the source.”
Coming from a family of doctors, Suman says, “He has taken
creative license to dramatise certain portions but doctors will not
say yeh kya dikha diya . We have come a long way from the pop
science of Amar Akbar Anthony and this will reflect in the hospital
scenes of Heartless .” There are divergent opinions about
anaesthesia awareness but Suman argues that it is more common
than what medical fraternity agrees upon. “Most people come out
with experiences when they are administered anaesthesia during
operation but many times they don’t care to report it officially.”
The film is also seen as a re-launch for his son Adhyayan. “I didn’t
need a hero in the Bollywood sense of the term. I wanted a boy
next door whose actions are not always heroic and it is not a kind
of film where the director focuses on the entry of the actor and the
camera caresses his biceps. And Adhyayan fits into that image. He
plays a character who carries a death wish as he holds himself
responsible for the death of his father.” Like Awake , the film also
explores the mother-son relationship and Suman is elated to have
cast Deepti Naval as the mother and getting the opportunity to
direct Om Puri. Delving into his film career, Suman, who is playing
the crucial role of a doctor with grey shades, agrees that he had
got an enviable start with Utsav where he starred opposite Rekha
in a Girish Karnad film produced by Shashi Kapoor. “I was told it is
a matter of time that I will become a star. But Jennifer Kapoor
died during the making of the film and Utsav got delayed. I got to
act with some of the biggest names in the industry but somehow
things didn’t click for me. When I was working with Dimple
Kapadia in Pati Parmeshwar director Madan Joshi said the film will
change my career but when it released people found it regressive.
Meanwhile, I lost my son, and by the time I recovered from the
personal setbacks the industry had moved on. It was Vinod
Pandey’s Reporter that brought me back in the reckoning through
small screen and after that I didn’t look back.”
And after that did he start acting pricey with the filmmakers? “
Dekh Bhai Dekh , Andaaz , Main , I was getting so many shades to
play on television. Sanjay Leela Bhansali had come to me with the
role of Chunnilal in Devdas . Had I left television to return to films
at that time things might have been different. Anyway I believe in
Murphy’s Law: Whatever has to go wrong will go wrong. I think now
I am ripe to play different shades and hopefully the industry will
see me in a new light after Heartless ,” he adds.

explores the mother-son relationship and Suman is elated to have
cast Deepti Naval as the mother and getting the opportunity to
direct Om Puri.

I didn’t need a hero in the Bollywood sense of the term...it is not a
kind of film where the director focuses on the entry of the actor
and the camera caresses his biceps

It's a mix of big city romance and American subaltern history at
the box office today.
After Salman Khans not so entertaining Jai Ho, real life couple
Abhay Deol-Preeti Desai are coming to woo the moviegoers in "One
By Two", coming out Friday. A lukewarm response to the former
might turn out profitable for the new release, say trade experts.
The love story, which has been directed by Devika Bhagat, revolves
around a couple who meet each other while living in Mumbai. They
are fed up with their lives and want their situations to change
desperately.
The film, made on an budget of about Rs.15 crore, is looking at a
fair business opportunity with "Jai Ho" figures not living up to
expectations, says Rajesh Thadani of Multimedia Combines.
"If 'Jai Ho' had done well, it would have been very tough for the
next film to do well. So this will be beneficial for 'One By Two',"
said Thadani.
The film, which will be shown in approximately 1,000-1,200
screens all over India, is the debut production of Abhay's banner -
i.e. Films. He has co-produced the film with Viacom 18.
However, the actor has hardly promoted the film, a norm
nowadays. The movie, however, made news due to the tiff between
Abhay and T-series regarding the delay in the marketing and music
launch of "One By Two".
Abhay, who walked the red carpet at an award function with a
made up black eye signifying helplessness, brought out the
controversy in the open.
Singers like Kailash Kher, Sonu Niigaam and Sunidhi Chauhan and
composers such as Vishal Dadlani and Ehsaan Noorani hailed
Abhay's courageous outburst against the music label.
However, T-series denied all accusations calling them baseless.
The fight was resolved when Viacom 18 Motion Pictures sent out a
press statement saying that everything has been sorted out.
That's not all, From Hollywood, comes a movie that many believe
already has its Best Film Oscar sewn up. 12 Years A Slave, based
on the real life account of a free black man kidnapped and sold
into slavery, stars Oscar nominees Chiwetel Ejiofor, Lupita Nyong'o
and Michael Fassbender.
The cast also features Brad Pitt, a producer on the movie, and
Sherlock star Bendeict Cumberbatch.

trailer has already hit a mark of 2 million views in just 1 week and
has surpassed the record of many blockbusters already!!! Varun
Dhawan tweeted, “#MainTeraHeroTrailer hit 2 million views thanks
to you people honestly I feel blessed because of u.”
From being a student to now becoming a Hero, it has been quite a
transition for this good looking actor! Buzz is that people are
already looking forward to see the camaraderie the father-son duo
create on screen.
David Dhawan is back with a bang, this time with son Varun
Dhawan. After the success of Chashme Buddoor, which a remake of
the original by the same name, he's set to direct his son for the
first time.A source close from to production team says,” In
Davidji’s 25 year old career, his son Varun will be the youngest
actor he has ever directed. Despite being the director’s son,
Davidhji was very strict with Varun on the sets. Infact he was
stricter with Varun than he was with Illeana and Nargis! On the set,
it looked like a typical Director Actor relationship!”

Priyanka Chopra beats Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone to be Madhur Bhandarkar’s Madamji
We conducted a poll recently, asking you to pick a heroine for Madhur’s next project. Well, here are the results…
It’s an old tale that Madhur Bhandarkar, who has impressed the masses with his hard hitting and realistic films like Fashion, Traffic Signal, Page 3 amongst others, is now coming up with yet another realistic drama titled Madamji, a movie centred around the life of a female actor-turned-politician. The filmmaker was quite confused between Vidya Balan, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra to play the leading role for his new project. That’s when we decided to help him out and asked you BollywoodLifers, to pick a heroine who you would like to see, as Madamji.
You have given your verdict and Priyanka Chopra has emerged as the winner by acquiring maximum votes. We received a total of 9,575 votes, out of which the Exotic babe has won the poll hands down by bagging 5,108 votes, which is over 53 percent of the total votes. Katrina Kaif has followed Priyanka with 2,288 votes (24 percent). Well, now that is nowhere close to the number of votes that PeeCee has got. What say?
The third position is claimed by Deepika Padukone, who has got 1,357 votes (14 percent). Now that comes as a surprise, doesn’t it? After all Dippy is the flavour of the season, hai na? Anyway, Kajol bagged the fourth position by winning only 329 votes (3 percent), while Vidya Balan is on the fifth place by getting 315 votes (3 percent). And finally, the last position is secured by the gorgeous Madhuri Dixit, who has bagged mere 178 votes (2 percent).
So if Madhuris reading this, he knows whom to cast as Madamji. And if he does rope in PeeCee, then it will be the second time when the filmmaker and actor come together afterFashion
While Dabangg Khan’s latest outing had a dull start on its first day, the movie fared well on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday). However, Sohail Khan’s directorial venture still has a long way to go
Jai Hostarring Salman Khan and newbie Daisy Shah hit the screens on Friday. Since Sallu miyaan was returning on the big screen after a year, the expectations were sky high from this flick. However, Jai Ho received thandaresponse on the day of its release and collected only Rs 17.55 crore net. On Saturday, the collections went down further. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Jai Ho Fri – 17.55 cr, Sat – 16.25 cr. Total - 33.80 cr nett… Info collected from my sources and confirmed with Eros. India biz only.” But as per media reports Salman-Daisy starrer showed growth on Sunday. “Jai Hobiz skyrockets today. Huge jump in biz” posted Adarsh.
According to Boxofficeindia, “Jai Ho had a good weekend thanks to very good business on Sunday which was a national holiday. The film collected 17 crore nett on Friday and 16 crore nett on Saturday and the Sunday total as per early estimates is around 25 crore nett. This will give weekend figures of around 58 crore nett”
With no big film releasing this week, Salman Khan’s latest offering has a good chance of raking in more moolah. But will it enter the Rs 100 crore club or break any box office record? We’ll have to wait and see
