Ssangyong Motor, part of the Mahindra Group, has unveiled its premium CUV

concept car, the XIV-1 at the Auto Expo. The company is developing the car

as a strategic model for the global market.


Ssangyong XIV-1

The XIV-1, which means eXciting user Interface Vehicle-1, has headlamps

that are adorned with LEDs while the tail lights have three bars. The company

says that the center fascia is made of aluminum to add visual and tactile

comfort and a sense of luxury. The pillarless doors make the vehicle look

more spacious. The XIV-1 has a horizontal split tail gate for conveniently

taking the luggage in and out.


Ssangyong XIV-1

The mood lighting in the cabin builds an uncommon atmosphere inside. The

vehicle brags about its future-oriented infotainment system. There is a user

interface that enables drivers to use mobile devices such as smart phones to

check information on and control the car, realising a genuine Mobile Auto

System without limits on time and place.

The XIV-1 shouts out the company’s capabilities for building premium

crossover utility vehicles. The Ssangyong XIV-1 will form the base for an

extensive product lineup the company will develop. This list includes the new

concept Range Extended EV.
