Ford Figo concept sedan unveiled in India

The new Figo is a sedan, which supports the dual roles of making the Figo

brand more upmarket, and also fills the gap in Ford’s Indian line-up. It is a

small B-segment sedan that takes advantage of the excise cuts available.
Externally, the front trapezoidal grille gives it a powerful look while at the

back, the designers have inclined the windshield as much as possible to finish

the end with a sleeker, faster look. Bold, slongated and blackened-out

headlamps accentuate the concept sedan's sporty appearance. What also

catches the eye is the sweeping, curved lines moving from the front to the

rear of the vehicle, creating a sense of fluidity and movement.
The new Figo has Ford’s new Mondeo-type face, and the proportions are

similar to that of the Honda Amaze – little wonder, because it is a sub four-

metre sedan. It is expected to be powered by a reworked 1.2-litre petrol or the

1.0-litre EcoBoost engine and again the retuned 1.5-litre for the diesel engine.

We also expect it to better the current Figo in space and features. It also

sports an addition of power windows for the rear two windows as well.

The Figo sedan is a global model, like the current Figo and EcoSport, which

should make it great value for money.
